Alison Bond

Alison hails for sunny Qld, where she began her interest in performing.  She started with various dance classes and attended Brisbane Arts Theatre training in voice, movement and acting.  Alison was also a member of the Logan City Theatre Co, doing various shows with them. 

Alison did a BA in Creative Arts - Theatre and Creative Writing.  During these 3 years of training, Alison learnt her foundations in performance.  Here she acted in various shows and was able to write and direct her own work. 

Since moving t Melbourne, Alison has attended classes at St Martins Youth Theatre, The Actors Showcase – a one year acting course under Peter Stephson Jones, The Actors Instrument by Leisa Shelton, Acting for Camera with Anthony Georgiou, Melbourne Acting Studio with Bruce Alexander, Clowning with Alex Pinder, various workshops with Drama Victoria and currently trains with Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre Company (Suzuki and Viewpoints.)

Film has included Carousal, In Her Eyes, Jasper and was a Burlesque dancer in Lullaby. 

Alison has a strong interest in physical theatre.  She currently is in a performance duo that is inspired by vaudeville and slapstick, creating short performance pieces. 

When not performing, Alison teaches children with disabilities, can be found at a yoga class, at the gym trying to get fit or maintaining her sign language skills.
