Alycia O'Callaghan |
|
Alycia O'Callaghan was born in 1991 and grew up in the small town of Mooroopna, later moving to Shepparton and currently once more in Mooroopna. From a very young age, Alycia found herself performing 'concerts' for her family and friends, keeping them forever entertained by her dramatic performances. Thanks to the support of her family, Alycia began drama classes with Helen O'Grady Drama Academy at the age of four, whilst still attending day-care! Currently, Alycia has attended Helen O'Grady for 9 3/4 years. Pursuing her love for the stage, Alycia has been involved in school productions such as Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat and played a lead role in The Tempest. Alycia has attended dance classes since 2004 and is currently the teacher of contemporary/hip-hop dance team, The Revelation Movement. She enjoys dancing and recently played a dancer in the charity concert, Free to Fly, held in Shepparton to raise money for charity Free to be Kids. She also had the pleasure of teaching a small group a few dances to be later performed at the 2006 Shepparton Carols by Candlelight. For many years now it has been apparent to Alycia and those around her, that acting was her only path, considering her passion and talent on stage. She would love to secure a career in the television or film industry. During her high school years a previous love for writing has developed and Alycia has become interested in pursuing a career as an author, screen writer or playwright. In her spare time Alycia enjoys spending time with her friends, writing, drawing, scrapbooking, reading, listening to music, dancing, playing basketball and soccer and also spending time with her gorgeous maltese shih-tzu, Tilly.
