Carl Jørgen
Sørheim

Carl has a diverse entertainment background. He has been involved in theatre, musical theatre, stand-up comedy and choirs/bands. He has also been writing a monthly column for a street press since 2002 as well as writing plays and scripts in his pastime.

He has a wide range of skills and experience ranging from playing the lead role as Berger in Hair - the musical; doing stand-up comedy at various venues, singing in The Norwegian Student Choral Society (which went on to win ‘The Olympic Choir Games 2006’ in Xiamen, China) in 2001; writing, directing and acting for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and playing diverse roles such as Malcolm in Macbeth, Mal in Don's Party and Oberon in A Midsummernight's Dream.

He has also played one of the main characters (David "D" Ellis) in the short film Spades as well as having appeared in several short plays in Melbourne and two commercials in Queensland.

He was trained by Ben Slivkin at James Cook University and received a Bachelor of Theatre for this in 2005.

His degree allowed him to develop skills in stage combat, dancing, music, language and accents - he also speaks Norwegian, Danish and Swedish fluently. Carl enjoys a busy lifestyle in working out five times a week, practicing his guitar and taking pleasure in the arts and cultural life Melbourne has to offer.
