Carolina Rotaru

Carolina is born in Romania and she comes from a musical family, her father playing four instruments, mother being a soprano and her brother a famous Romanian folk music singer. A natural born singer, at three she started performing in all kindergarten and later school plays. In 91’ to 93’ she began training with Silvia Popovici at the Art School in Iasi in Romania. At the same time she appeared at various festivals and concerts as a presenter and singer of pop and folk music. She started playing theater in 93’. She has recorded Christmas songs for Radio Iasi in 94’

Moving to Melbourne in 95,’ she gained a diploma from Fran Scotting ’98 in modeling   and appeared in various television commercials, fashion shows and advertising campaigns. In 1997 she was the winner of "Fashion on the Field" at the Melbourne Cup.

1999-2004 she studied opera with John Lander. She is also a writer and singer of contemporary ambience music.

In 2004 she trained in acting at the Actor’s Space. She’s is a lyric soprano and her repertoire consists of :
