Cory Corbett

Cory Corbett first took to the boards in Arthur Miller’s ‘All My Sons’ at 8 years old and he has gone on to leading roles in theatre: Sunyata, Romeo & Juliet, 1984 Up Late, Orphanage of the Animals and The Trial of Adolf Eichmann. He has also had leading roles in recent films: Sex Lies and Newspapers, Fear, Triple Helix, At 288.

In February Cory will accept one of ten international internships with the acclaimed Double Edge Theatre Company in Massachusetts USA. Until then he is thrilled to be performing in Reg Cribbs play UnAustralia playing a Lebanese beat-boxer.

Cory also writes and directs his own work and was awarded a Bachelor of Performance Studies from Victoria University earlier this year.

He has studied and/or worked with the California State University Sacramento, Victorian College of the Arts, Victoria University, TAFTA, St Martin’s Youth Theatre, Platform Youth Theatre, Polished Raw Productions, Eagles Nest Theatre, Channel 7, Channel 9 and Comet magazine.

In the midst of all this he has found time to study and work in puppetry, musical theatre, stage and lighting design, fencing, martial arts, archery, French (comme ci comme ça) and basic Spanish.  He is an asset to the production process and believes in team work to get things working efficiently.
