Emily Taylor

Emily is an actor, singer, musician and performance maker. In 2001 she graduated from UNSW with Honours in Theatre and Film. A member of Melbourne band Plastic Palace Alice, she  also teaches with First Impressions Youth Theatre and is an Artist in Residence with The City of Whittlesea. She works regularly as an improviser with The Replay Group in corporate and educational environments. Her theatre credits include Between Today and Tomorrow, Family Running For Mr Whippy and Farmyard for VCA, The Tempest (Epicentre), The Girl Who Wanted to be God (Theatreworks), His Tattooed Fist (Short and Sweet) and Snapshots 8x10 (Melbourne Fringe).

Film and television credits include a number of short films (among them Sailor Boy and Matilda for VCA), commercials, and recently Underbelly. Emily has trained extensively in physical and exploratory theatre, most recently in an ensemble led by Fiona Battersby and Kirsten von Bibra exploring Crime and Punishment. In January 2009 Emily will be teaching the Summer School program with The Melbourne Theatre Company.
