Fred has been actively involved in the Melbourne theatre scene for well over thirty years and has appeared with most of the leading Companies including Heidelberg, Malvern, Brighton, Lilydale Athenaeum, Hoy Polloy, Peridot, Encore and Pumpkin.
Awards have included Best Actor for the lead role in `Da' and as `Willie Loman in `Death Of A Salesman', both with the old Pumpkin Players.
VDL Awards have been won for Best Actor as Mick Dowd in` A Skull In Connemara' with Mitcham Repertory Group and Best Supporting Actor for the role of `Uncle Willie' in `Philadelphia Story' with Lilydale Athenaeum.
 

Fred has also played a number of TV roles in Neighbours, City Homicide, Blue Heelers, Stingers, Janus and Phoenix etc. as well as TV commercials for The Good Guys, Mitsubishi. Birdseye, McDonalds, Bega Cheese and Physical Milk.
Probably the most prominent Film role has been as Governor Beasley in Chopper.
Besides his passion for Acting, Fred's main interests are his 7 beautiful grand children, reading, golf ,cinema, travel, dining out, sport, and all forms of music from Miles Davis to Bach.
