Nigel Leslie

Nigel discovered his love of acting at high school, and after appearing in several theatre productions around Melbourne was accepted into the National Theatre Drama School, graduating in 1993. More theatre roles followed, before he answered the call of many young Australians and took off to travel around the country. He lived in Darwin for six months but still managed to find acting opportunities, appearing in TV commercials for light beer while working in a bottleshop!

Nigel then found himself in Queensland, where he ended up living for eight years. During this time he worked at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, playing (among other characters), Kenny Koala for thousands of adoring kids.

He also appeared in film and television productions as well as theatre, studying for and completing a law degree before returning to Melbourne in 2004.

Nigel is currently working as a solicitor, but has returned to the stage recently as a barrister in The Day After The Fair, as Dr. Larry in Closer, and most recently as the director and lead actor in the one act play One Good Custom, which has won several awards. He is planning to appear in a one-man show later in the year, and is looking forward to having a crack at the highly competitive film and TV industry.
