Rhona is a 25-year-old Melbourne-based actor and voice artist with more than 14 years experience in front of the camera and behind the microphone. Her work has predominantly focused on Australian television dramas but she also has film, presenting, advertising and voice over credits. Rhona is a professional and versatile performer who brings enthusiasm to all her roles. 

She first appeared at the age of 11 opposite Ernie Dingo in the telemovie Rainbow’s End. From there Rhona went on to secure lead and guest roles in a string of favourite children’s series including Ocean Girl IV, High Flyers, Eugenie Sandler P.I and Driven Crazy. However Rhona’s television experience is not limited to children’s shows, with appearances in Last of the Ryans, Halifax f.p and Sea Change III. 

Rhona has been involved in a number of award-winning productions. The telemovie adaptation of Blabbermouth and Stickybeak, in which she played Amanda Cosgrove, won an Emmy Award, an AFI award and a Banff Rockie award. More recently she played D’arne in Dugong, a short film which was nominated for an AFI award and won a Flickerfest International Short Film Festival award. 

 

Rhona’s voice over experience includes commercials for companies such as Jay Jays and Knox City Shopping Centre. She has also voiced an animated character and recently trained with local voice legend John Higginson.

Rhona is a keen athlete, regularly playing basketball, netball and running. She’s also a qualified snow ski instructor and loves to hit the mountains whenever possible. 

Born and bred in Melbourne, Rhona has a natural Australian accent but has numerous other accents in her repertoire including American, English, Welsh and Scottish. She is passionate about languages and speaks German and Japanese at a conversational level, having studied German for seven years and Japanese for four.

Rhona is a lover of the arts, with nine years of dance training across various styles and two years of singing coaching. She is also a talented visual artist who has had her work displayed at various venues including the Malthouse in Melbourne. Rhona has a degree in Media and Communications from the University of Melbourne.
