Simon Acok

Simon has been acting ever since high school and ever since his first major theatre production lead in VCE, he was hooked and started to wonder that there was a real potential in an acting career ever since. His background is quite diverse in the fact that he possesses many different talents having played top level basketball since primary school actually playing on top VBL teams throughout the state, also a taste for the art drawing, graphic design and music with his ability to rap.

The turning point in his life came after a trip to Los Angeles in 2005 which having up close experience in the Hollywood industry Simon knew what he had to do to make it as an established actor in big leagues. So the first thing he did was to take up some strong acting schooling in Melbourne.  Undertaking various VCA (Victorian College of the Arts) studies aimed at intense acting for Film and TV which helped mould him into the talented actor he is today.

Simon’s greatest achievements in acting apart from being in some big time American productions being filmed in Australia like Salem’s Lot and some Australian Television productions like Stingers and Secret Life of us, came when he travelled to the London, UK 2007 to pursue bigger roles, filming many different indie films over there playing many different characters with a variety of accents, Simon career as an actor was soaring.

Now having returned to Melbourne he is now ready to undertake whatever new challenges and opportunities arise for him, as his determination from all his influences helped build up an amazing persona and talent and he will stop at nothing to reach his goals in acting.
