Australian born actress, Tanya
Braunovic is well advanced in engaging diverse characters from a wide range
of genres in film, theatre and television. Gifted in speaking fluent
Serbian, Tanya will also be undertaking French this year
with 'Alliance Francaise Melbourne'.
With more than 10yrs experience performing in both Comic and Dramatic roles,
including a Wacky German Terrorist, a Politician, a Criminal Hit Woman, a
Jewish Survivor, a Sociopath to 17th Century French Royalty.
Studying full-time during 2008 at TVI Studios in L.A. (made famous by Eva
Longoria (Desperate Housewives), under the guidance of some of Hollywood's
best known
trainers, such as TV's Head Of Casting, Christy Dooley (The Bold And The
Beautiful), Mark Teschner (General Hospital) and Russell Scott (The Unit).
Tanya recalls her time with Russell, "He picked up that I speak fluent
Serbian, and told me that productions like 'The Unit' constantly seeks these
skills. It's a fantastic advantage. He also advised that I take up French,
which I'll be starting this year.'
Whilst in L.A Tanya was very excited to be cast to work on the US Indie
Comedy 'FATHER VS SON' Directed by Joe Ballarini (Neighborhood Watch, Dance
Of The Dead) This surely was an eye opening experience for her, to say the

Tanya is now working towards getting
her O1 Visa and SAG Eligibility. To have the freedom to travel back and
forth between Australia and the US when it becomes possible.
Since returning home from L.A Tanya
has kept extremely busy throughout 2009.
One of her major highlights not to
be forgotten was in July 2009 when she won
Best Female Actor for her lead role in 'CLouds' a 'cold read' play
competition of 8
short plays, at Crash Test Drama for their Season One 'Finale' which was
also Tanya's first ever appearance.
Tanya has trained at many institutions including The The National Theatre,
ART HOUSE, TAFTA, NIDA, ST Martins, more recently at TVI Studios in LA. Also
Completing a Diploma in Performig Arts at NMIT in 1999. Tanya is constantly
honing her craft and eager to take on exciting and challenging roles. She is
certainly a name to watch....
