Tony Nicholas

Tony Nicholas was born and raised in Melbourne.  With an interest and passion for the arts as a child, Tony adhesively gravitated towards any given chance to perform in all the plays in school, from performing as an actor, to singing in the school band.

It was during this time that Tony also developed a love for the martial arts.  As an adolescent, he would experiment by writing scripts that enabled him to incorporate his martial arts with his acting, in turn, giving birth to his life long dream of becoming a successful actor.

Tony gained acting and performing experience by doing local charity plays and gigs but it wasn’t until he got his first acting role as an extra in the film “Wog Boy”, that he soon realized it was time to spread his wings.

After successfully completing his studies at David Armstrong’s Acting Academy and soon after, Screen Actors Studio in Geelong, Tony pursued on his journey.

Having appeared in numerous extra roles in film and TV commercials, his first break finally arrived.  He was to play a Russian Mafia in the TV series, “Stingers”.

In current stand, Tony performs in a number of bands as a percussion player and back up vocalist.  He has worked with many of Melbourne’s leading corporate acts such as De Ja Vu, Reflections Of and Flairs with George Kapinyaris.

With a high regard to fitness and health, Tony is currently teaching as a personal trainer in self-defense and fitness classes.  Keeping it to a personal approach, he currently spends quality time with his handful of students.  In correlation to that, he holds martial arts seminars for weapon and fight choreography.

Tony’s interests and hobbies include yoga, meditation, reading and understanding the metaphysical mystics, mysteries and enigmas of all life.  With a clear vision of being in the present, Tony’s life, unfolds in a positive, bright and balanced way.
